Position OverviewThe
Electrical Engineer will support electrical engineering design, quality control, and project execution for multi-million-dollar transportation and infrastructure projects, with a focus on facility electrical systems, lighting design, and facility power. This role includes full project lifecycle involvement - from concept design through construction support - and offers strong growth and leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform facility power, lighting, and electrical system design
- Prepare electrical scopes of work & cost proposals
- Develop drawings, schematics, layouts & specifications
- Perform system calculations, modeling & analysis
- Support construction including review of submittals & RFIs
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies
- Mentor junior engineers and present technical solutions to clients & leadership
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification
- 5+ years of electrical design experience (5-8 years ideal)
- Strong experience in:
- Power distribution systems
- Substations & switchgear
- Facility power systems
- Grounding, lighting & low-voltage systems
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE & UL codes
- Software experience:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- OpenBuildingDesigner
- OpenRoadDesigner
