- Professional Engineering License is required.
- 5+ years of professional experience in electrical design engineering, with a focus on commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems design, including lighting, power distribution, grounding, telecommunications, and security systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, IBC, and client-specific design requirements.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in BIM workflows and model coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for system analysis, cost modeling, and performance optimization.
- Experience with electrical design tools (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to client-facing engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, coordinate with project teams, and maintain high standards of technical accuracy.
- Energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
QualificationsWhat we expect... - Lead and contribute to the design of electrical systems, including interior/exterior lighting, power distribution, grounding, lightning protection, telecom, and security infrastructure.
- Perform and document design calculations to ensure compliance with applicable codes and client specifications.
- Conduct quality control reviews of design documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules and deliver complete, coordinated design packages.
- Review and respond to contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals, ensuring design intent is maintained.
- Participate in client meetings and design reviews, providing technical input and supporting project delivery.
- Support the development and refinement of internal design standards and best practices.
- Assist in mentoring junior engineers and designers, contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing.
- Other duties as assigned.
