Position Summary:The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the development of robotic surgical systems, supporting electrical design from concept through commercialization. This role focuses on new product development (NPD) and includes hands-on design, prototyping, integration, and testing of complex electromechanical systems.
The engineer will work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, reliable, and scalable electrical architectures aligned with clinical and user needs.
Essential Functions:- Design and develop electrical systems and PCBAs for robotic platforms containing analog, digital, and microcontroller circuitry
- Drive prototyping, bring-up, testing, and debugging of electrical subsystems
- Interface with PCB designers to complete circuit board layouts and documentation packages
- Collaborate on system integration and troubleshoot issues across hardware and software
- Develop test fixtures and support V&V testing to ensure performance meets system requirements
- Apply design for manufacturability (DFM) and support transition to production
- Contribute to design documentation and DHF deliverables

Qualifications:- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 2-5 years of product development experience, preferably in robotics or complex systems
- General experience with PCB development including schematic, layout, building, debugging and component selection
- Proficient with electrical test equipment; oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc
- Familiar with design for test, analyzing information, and reporting results
- Experience with schematic capture software (Altium preferred)
