Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Overview: As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving electrical systems and components. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting research, and utilizing engineering principles to develop innovative solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:
  • Design, develop, and layout multi-layer PC Boards for gas flow and attending documentation.
  • Utilize CAD software to perform PC board layout up to ten-layers.
  • Design attending circuits based on embedded processors used in gas flow electronics.

Analysis and Simulation:
  • Perform circuit simulation on critical circuits, PC board verification utilizing Gerber and ODB output from CAD software.
  • Optimize designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
  • Perform and document in-house R&D experiments to validate solutions.

Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into overall product designs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and Electrical Engineering Manager.

Research and Innovation:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance product performance and functionality.

Prototyping and Testing:
  • Oversee the fabrication of prototypes and conduct thorough testing to validate design specifications.
  • Analyze test results and iterate on designs based on feedback.

Documentation:
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including fab and assembly drawings, Bill-of-Materials, Test routines and performance reports.
  • Ensure all design documentation complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Cost Optimization:
  • Work to optimize designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with procurement and manufacturing teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (not Computer Engineering) or a related field with experience.
  • At least 5 years experience in electrical design, PCB layout and testing.
  • Proficiency in EAGLE PC layout tool (older versions).
  • Proficiency in Altium or Solidworks PCB layout tool.
  • Knowledge of Solidworks Mechanical package helpful.
  • Familiarity High-Voltage circuits (>200 Volts).
  • Experience with transistor-level design.
  • Experience with embedded processors such as ARM-9, CORTEX, etc. (hardware level).
  • Experience with switching power supplies (buck and boost).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for manufacturing processes and materials (e.g., ANSI, SEMI, UHP).

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with SPICE circuit simulator (LTSPICE).
  • Some knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
  • Familiarity with general discrete electronics.
  • Familiarity with gas delivery systems.
  • Project management skills.
