Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety programs ensuring regulatory compliance and a safety culture
  • Collaborate with operations leadership and engineers to implement safety initiatives
  • Maintain and improve various occupational safety programs including high-voltage and crane safety
  • Manage safety ticketing system and associated metrics
  • Conduct accident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventative measures
  • Identify proactive safety opportunities and document safety inspections
  • Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management including handling and labeling

Full Job Description
What You'll Do
  • Leading and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across the organization, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
  • Working closely with operations leadership, engineers, and employees at all levels to implement best-in-class safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintaining and improving occupational safety programs such as high-voltage, crane safety, chemical management, incident management, industrial ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and air quality.
  • Managing safety ticketing system and associated metrics
  • Leading accident/incidents investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventative actions; Managing occupational and/or workers compensation injuries
  • Identifying proactive workplace safety opportunities in a manufacturing environment and documenting safety inspections
  • Owning all hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including proper handling, labeling, and storage
  • Recognizing requirements and ensuring compliance to safety programs and standards including: hazard communication, fall protection, respiratory protection, lockout/tag-out (LOTO), machine guarding, power & hand-held tools, electrical, emergency response, and chemical management
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Management, Occupational Safety or a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of managing and implementing Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, CalOSHA, EPA, CUPA, SCAQMD, NIOSH)
  • Working knowledge of ANSI standards
