Full Job Description
The Environmental Health & Safety Ambulatory Safety Program Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for environmental health and safety programs across the ambulatory care enterprise. This position serves as the primary Environmental Health & Safety point of contact for ambulatory operations and partners directly with ambulatory and clinic leadership to identify risks, develop and implement enterprise-wide safety initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational, regulatory, and UCLA Health safety standards. The position provides functional leadership and direction to ambulatory EHS specialists and serves as the central coordinator for ambulatory safety operations, ensuring consistent implementation of safety programs across a diverse and geographically distributed clinic environment. Working in partnership with clinical, operational, facilities, employee health, risk management, infection prevention, and other organizational stakeholders, the position leads complex, multidisciplinary safety initiatives and translates organizational safety requirements into practical processes for ambulatory operations. The role requires a high degree of independent judgment, program ownership, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and subject matter expertise in healthcare environmental health and safety.
