JOB DETAILS:
Exempt: Yes / FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week) / Schedule: Mon - Friday 8 hour days / On Call: NO

JOB SUMMARY:
Delivers exceptional treatment planning and radiation safety services to the Radiation Oncologist, Physicist and technical staff utilizing best practices, nationally recognized standards, and regulations in a manner that ensures the highest level of safety, quality patient care, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
Required: Graduate of a Radiation Therapy Technology Program OR Graduate of a Certified Medical Dosimetrist Program Preferred - Bachelor's in related field

EXPERIENCE:
Preferred: Relevant experience; 5 years working as an independently functioning medical dosimetrist

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED
Drivers License / Valid Drivers License
BLS (CPR) / AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Successful completion of the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) exam within 3 years of hire, resulting in certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD). The CMD certification must be maintained while employed.
PREFERRED
In addition to the CMD, Dosimetrists are encouraged to maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) as a Radiation Therapist, but it is not required.
