POSITION SUMMARY

The District Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing sales execution within a designated geographic area. This role involves leading and managing a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth. The District Sales Manager develops and implements strategic sales plans, fosters strong relationships with key customers, and analyzes market trends to identify new opportunities. This position requires a results-oriented leader with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of sales processes, and the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team toward achieving both individual and organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve district targets and increase market share.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, on-board and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to enhance team performance and professional growth.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze sales data and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Set performance goals and regularly evaluate team progress.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Adjust sales strategies based on market insights and customer feedback.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
  • Communicate performance insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Solutions, Corporate Accounts, Solutions, Vertical Management, BDM Team, Training and Product Development teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to support organizational goals.
  • Budget Management: Manage district sales budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing development programs for the sales team.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations in all sales activities. These include but are not limited to CRM compliance, Pipeline Management, Activity Management and Expense Protocols.
  • Co-Travel Coach and Develop: Must travel with every Account Manager once a quarter for a minimum of three days in succession.
  • One-on-ones: Meet with all Account Managers weekly.
  • Pipeline Meetings: Meet with Account Managers regularly to coach Pipeline.
  • Team Calls: Facilitate Team Calls with a minimum monthly cadence.
  • QBRs: Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with Account Managers and Key Customers quarterly.
  • Solutions: Drive Solutions adoption and expand customer share through Solution Systems.


EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Management.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and emotional intelligence.
  • Industry client relations experience strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance coverage, and access to a vehicle.
  • A flexible work schedule and occasional out-of-the-area and overnight travel are expected, up to 70%.


Pay: $95,000/yr.

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus. An incentive bonus, if any, depends on various factors such as organizational performance.
