Summary:

The Director of Ticket Operations is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of ticket operations for the Boston Celtics, Maine Celtics, and Banner Seventeen LLC ticketed events. This position serves as a key operational leader across the organization, overseeing event builds, ticket inventory, pricing and configuration, on sales, financial reconciliation, box office operations, ticketing technology, and operational support for Ticket Sales, Member Experience, Finance as well as other departments.

They will ensure that all ticketed events are built, managed accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a high level of service for fans, partners, and internal stakeholders. The role will also identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, reporting, and technology and will stay current on emerging trends and best practices across the sports and entertainment industry.

This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented leader who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional sports environment and effectively collaborate across departments. The ideal candidate combines strong ticketing expertise with excellent communication, problem-solving, financial, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the day-to-day ticket operations function for all assigned Boston Celtics, Maine Celtics, and Banner Seventeen LLC ticketed events
  • Build, configure, schedule, and maintain events, implement pricing adjustment, and oversee inventory management
  • Drive the department's technology strategy, including identifying opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Assist in ticket request fulfillment for the visiting team, the league, broadcast partners, sponsors, VIPs, and clients
  • Partner with Ticket Sales, Membership Experience, Finance, Business Intelligence, CRM, Marketing, Community Engagement, and Ticketmaster to support organizational initiatives
  • Process daily internal order and payment via Archtics ticketing system
  • Primary point of contact to Ticketmaster for day-to-day needs and communications
  • Lead daily financial audit relating to ticketing, providing reports to various stakeholders
  • Oversee box office operations for Boston Celtics events, providing excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, utilizing their resources and expertise to improve organizational business operations
  • Assist in CRM administration and support ticketing processes associated with season ticket, group, and member experience departments
  • Hire, develop, coach, and mentor department team members while fostering accountability, elite attention to detail, and continuous improvement
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Vice President of Business Strategy & Operations

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 7 Years Box Office/Ticket Operations experience
  • Strong understanding of Ticketmaster suite of products including Archtics, Account Manager, TM Host, and TM1
  • Previous management experience a plus
  • Professional manner, positive attitude, willingness to learn with a solutions-based mindset
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to rapidly changing business conditions both independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to work long/flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Annual Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00
