About This RoleCIOs and CTOs are under real pressure: modernize legacy systems, adopt AI, cut costs, and satisfy regulators, all while managing rising complexity. Without an integrated architecture, transformation stalls in silos and never scales past pilot. RGP's Technology Strategy & Enablement practice exists to close that gap. We are seeking an experienced and driven Director to lead client engagements, grow the practice, and help technology leaders turn ambition into capability that scales.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in technology strategy, target operating model design, application portfolio rationalization, technology governance, and modernization roadmap development, along with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage senior client relationships, and deliver complex engagements. This individual will play a key role in executing go-to-market initiatives, supporting business development, and helping to scale RGP's Technology Strategy & Enablement offerings. This role reports to the Practice Leader, Technology Strategy & Enablement.
Location and travel: Based in New York, NY, hybrid, with travel to client sites as engagements require (typically [25-50%]). Team: leads engagement teams of [3-10] consultants and on-demand talent, with ongoing coaching responsibility for a group of technology practitioners.
Base Pay Range: $170,000 - $213,000
Other Compensation: Incentive Compensation
What You Will Work On- Sell and lead delivery of Technology Strategy & Enablement engagements, including technology assessments, operating model design, portfolio rationalization, governance frameworks, modernization, AI adoption roadmaps, readiness assessments, and end-to-end delivery leadership.
- Manage complex programs or key workstreams, ensuring quality, timelines, cost control, and client satisfaction.
- Lead operating model redesign, portfolio simplification, governance model implementation, modernization strategies, and AI enablement initiatives aligned to business priorities.
- Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and senior stakeholders, providing strategic guidance throughout assessment, design, implementation, and sustainment phases.
- Partner with engagement leaders and sales teams to identify opportunities, shape solutions, support proposals, and contribute to go-to-market activities.
- Develop offerings, playbooks, tools, and accelerators that differentiate RGP and integrate AI-enabled approaches.
- Shape integrated solutions leveraging RGP's consulting, on-demand talent, managed services, and Global Capability Centers, and collaborate with talent partners to build practice bench strength.
- Provide thought leadership on modernization, AI adoption, enterprise architecture, and technology governance, sharing insights internally and externally.
- Mentor and coach consultants, fostering a high-performing technology talent community.
- Collaborate across practices (Data & AI, ERP, Finance, OCM, Cybersecurity) to deliver cross-functional solutions.
- Engage in specialized programs as needed, including M&A technology integration, cloud migration strategies, and Agile/DevOps operating model transitions.
What You Will Bring- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred. Certifications in enterprise architecture (TOGAF), cloud platforms, AI, ITIL, or project management (PMP, Agile) are a plus.
- 10+ years in technology strategy, enterprise architecture, or technology transformation consulting, with a track record of leading complex client engagements.
- Expertise in one or more areas: operating model design, portfolio rationalization, technology governance, enterprise architecture, cloud migration, Agile/DevOps transitions, M&A technology integration, or AI readiness.
- Industry knowledge in at least one priority sector (financial services, healthcare, technology, private equity), with multi-industry experience preferred.
- Proven ability to deliver advisory services and drive business growth through business development, proposal support, and executive client relationships.
- Experience leading consulting teams, including work planning, coaching, quality oversight, and performance feedback.
- Hands-on experience with existing client architectures (cloud, ERP, data, and collaboration platforms) and applying structured assessment methods to define target states and actionable roadmaps.
- Strong project management, analytical, facilitation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
