Full Job Description
Overall Purpose: We are seeking a Director of Social Commerce to build, lead, and scale our social commerce department across TikTok Shops and Live Shopping. Reporting directly to the SVP of Digital Commerce, you will be responsible for the overarching strategy that drives revenue growth across our entire client portfolio. The Director will define the agency's "North Star" for social commerce, establishing high-level platform partnerships (e.g., TikTok, Meta, YouTube) and leading the team to execute against our operational frameworks that drive results in a fast-paced, results-driven agency environment.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Develop and lead execution of social commerce strategies for multiple clients on platforms like TikTok Shop, Whatnot, Facebook Live and other emerging channels, driving performant customer engagement and conversions
  • Oversee sourcing and relationship management of Affiliates, and Influencers - from outreach, to onboarding and briefing and content collaboration - in service of amplifying brand campaigns and achieve sales goals
  • Drive the strategy to optimize TikTok Shop storefronts (product merchandising, images, descriptions) to ensure relevance, maximizing click-through and conversion rates
  • Direct paid campaign performance (e.g. GMV Max) and track Shop KPIs (e.g. Revenue, conversion rate, affiliate impact, channel ROI), defining reports and actionable insights to enhance data-informed strategies
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams (media, creative, brand) to coordinate campaigns, product launches, and ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels
  • Lead with the latest social commerce trends, platform updates (e.g. new TikTok Shop features/mandates), platform incentives (Brand & agency), and best practices, proactively integrating these into client strategies
  • Cultivate and manage direct relationships with platform leads (e.g. TikTok, Meta, Whatnot) to align platform-level roadmaps with our clients' unique business objectives to identify and scale performance-driven initiatives
  • Support defining Channel-specific Growth Models and campaign budgets, ensuring spend is aligned with ROI targets and client expectations (e.g. balancing promotional costs with sales outcomes)

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  • 8+ years of experience in Management Consulting, eCommerce, Digital Marketing, or Growth, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on leading Social Commerce, Live Shopping or Affiliate-driven teams.
  • Proven Leadership: A track record of building and managing teams in a fast-paced agency or brand environment.
  • Platform Mastery: Direct experience with the TikTok Shop ecosystem, its algorithms, and the broader social commerce landscape (Meta, YouTube, Walmart, etc.).
  • Performance Expertise: A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding critical KPIs, such as seven-figure sales growth and enterprise-level ROI targets.
  • Relationship Management: Exceptional proficiency in navigating complex organizations and managing executive level relationships with clients.
  • Analytical Rigor: A data-first mindset capable of steering team-wide tactics and brand strategy informed by market trends and performance metrics.
