Full Job Description
The Director of Reporting & Analytics is responsible for leading the operational reporting, analytics, and insight generation. This role is accountable for transforming operational data into executive-ready insights that drive performance improvement, cost containment, and member experience outcomes. This role manages multiple managers and/or senior leads and is responsible for elevating the organization's analytical maturity from reactive reporting to proactive, insight-driven decision support. This role reports into Operations business area.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution
  • Establish and own the multi-year vision and roadmap for Operations Reporting & Analytics, aligned to operational priorities and transformation initiatives
  • Establish standards for reporting quality, analytical rigor, and insight generation.
  • Advance the organization from reactive reporting to proactive issue and opportunity analytics.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering clear, concise, and compelling narratives that translate data into business impact

Operational Analytics & Performance Enablement
  • Oversee development of operational dashboards, KPIs, and analytical products across claims, call center, enrollment, provider, and benefit configuration domains
  • Ensure proactive identification of performance risks, root causes, and emerging trends
  • Drive automation and simplification of reporting processes, including variance detection and self-service capabilities
  • Partner with business leaders to translate insights into process, system, and policy improvements

People Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers and senior individual contributors.
  • Build analytical capability through coaching, structured training, and skill development.
  • Set clear expectations for performance, accountability, and outcomes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or operational performance roles
  • 5+ years of experience leading managers and/or senior analytical teams
  • Advanced expertise in Tableau, with strong SQL and data modeling capabilities

  • Demonstrated strength in translating complex analysis into compelling business narratives and value cases
