The Hamilton LRT Alliance has been selected by Metrolinx as the development partner for the Hamilton LRT - Package 1: Civil & Utilities. Under the alliance model, Aecon provides construction capability and resources as part of an integrated team, working collaboratively with all alliance participants to progress design, cost, and construction schedules during the project's development phase.

The Proposal Director will be responsible for the development, production, and formal submission of Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other required content such as Market Sounding responses and Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for major project pursuits identified by Aecon's executive team.
What You'll Do Here:- Lead the development and execution of major proposal pursuits and bid strategies.
- Oversee RFQ, RFP, EOI, and Market Sounding submissions from pursuit launch to close.
- Manage proposal teams, resources, schedules, and submission quality.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, operations, estimating, commercial, and technical teams.
- Lead pursuit activities involving Joint Venture (JV), Alliance, and P3 delivery models.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and pursuit governance processes.
- Mentor and develop proposal professionals and pursuit teams.
- Present pursuit recommendations, risk assessments, and win strategies to senior leadership.
What You Bring to the Team:- 15+ years of proposal, bid management, or pursuit leadership experience on major infrastructure projects.
- Proven success leading complex transit, transportation, civil, or construction pursuits.
- Strong understanding of Alliance, P3, Design-Build, and JV delivery models.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Communications, or a related field.
