Director, Professional Services (HCM Solutions)

About the Role...

You'll lead a Professional Services team, overseeing product implementations for new customers and driving ongoing adoption and value realization for existing Salary.com clients. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering compensation solutions that ensure customer success at scale. You'll bring strong project management, operational oversight, and systems knowledge, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. You'll also coach, mentor, and develop team members across the Professional Services organization, while ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • This hybrid position is based at our Waltham, MA office, with a mix of remote and in-office days.
  • Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $170,000 plus 15% bonus opportunity

A Day in the Life...
  • Lead and develop a team of Professional Services consultants, setting clear expectations, modeling accountability, and holding yourself and the team to high standards.
  • Own HCM implementations from kickoff through go-live and handoff to Customer Success.
  • Set the standard for how the team assesses client needs, configures solutions, documents business processes, and delivers training and support.
  • Create scalable delivery methods, including standard project plans, templates, onboarding motions, and tooling that shorten time-to-value.
  • Build strong client relationships that drive ongoing adoption, satisfaction, and long-term value.
  • Represent Salary.com in key customer conversations, including kickoffs and executive check-ins.
  • Serve as the escalation point for at-risk projects, strategic accounts, and complex technical and configuration issues.
  • Partner with Product Management to solve complex customer challenges and use implementation insights to shape future features.
  • Define and report on key delivery metrics such as time to implementation, CSAT, and retention impact.

About You...
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of direct experience implementing HCM, HRIS, compensation, or payroll software
  • 3+ years of people leadership, with a track record of developing talent and addressing performance issues directly
  • Experience building and executing a delivery methodology
  • Technical fluency with data integrations, including HRIS connectors, APIs, and file-based feeds
  • Strong executive presence with senior customer stakeholders
  • Clear, direct communication and composure under pressure
  • Sound judgment in balancing customer needs, scope, and delivery quality
