Role Overview

The Director, Product Management, owns one or more AI products end to end. You set the strategic approach and effort assessments for your product or products in partnership with senior Business Sponsors and Engineering leadership, and are accountable for adoption, delivery quality, and ROI for what you own.

This role serves as a central connector between technical execution and business strategy. You build BRDs and PRFAQs, manage the product backlog, and own the product lifecycle from documented requirement through launch and adoption for your product or products, ensuring we deliver solutions that drive measurable value. You are the escalation point for decisions, dependencies, and priorities within that scope

Please note that this is a hybrid role that requires 2 days per week onsite in Philadelphia, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmapping
• Product Ownership: Own the roadmap and BRD/backlog quality for one or more AI products, ensuring consistency and prioritization logic across the product or products you own.
• Senior Business Partnership: Own relationships with Business Sponsors for your product or products. Represent your product(s) in leadership-level prioritization conversations and resolve competing priorities across sponsors.
• Prioritization Approach: Apply and help refine the prioritization framework and effort-assessment criteria for your product or products, in partnership with Engineering leadership.
• Capacity Planning: Partner with Engineering leadership on capacity planning for your product or products, sequencing work against priority and available resources.

Execution & Delivery Ownership
• Delivery Ownership: Own timeline and dependency management for your product or products end to end, from requirements through launch, proactively catching and resolving sequencing issues before they affect delivery.
• Escalation Point: Serve as the escalation point for blocked decisions, unresolved dependencies, or conflicts between Business Sponsors and Engineering on your product or products.
• Technical Partnership: Partner closely with Engineering to review requirements and roadmap decisions for your product or products, ensuring build matches specs.
• Process Consistency: Apply Agile practices, technical partnership standards, and build-vs-buy evaluation consistently across your product or products.

Adoption & Commercialization
• Product Adoption: Own adoption strategy for your product or products; ensure rollout and training approaches are effective.
• Product Metrics: Accountable for adoption, satisfaction, and ROI metrics for your product or products; report on product health to agency leadership.
• Commercialization Strategy: Partner with Client Service leadership to identify whether your product or products have client-facing commercialization potential and prioritize accordingly.

Governance & Compliance
• Governance Contribution: Represent Product Management in agency AI governance discussions related to your product or products. Help shape policy, standards, and review processes; flag concerns as they arise.
• Ensure your product or products consistently apply data privacy, security, and regulatory awareness requirements.

Requirements and Experience
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Product Management, including experience owning complex, high-visibility products end to end, preferably within a digital agency, marketing technology, or SaaS environment.
• AI Fluency: Deep understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations, with the ability to guide stakeholders through cost, speed, and quality trade-offs on your product or products.
• Data Literacy: Working fluency in data concepts, including pipelines, data quality, and structure, sufficient to guide feasibility conversations for your product or products.
• The Method: Deep experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and demonstrated ability to establish process standards for your product or products.
• The Industry: Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare/pharma) is highly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional ability to manage without authority at the executive level; skilled at resolving competing priorities across senior stakeholders.
• Data-Driven: Comfort with analytics; ability to define and defend success metrics for your product or products to agency leadership.
