Director of Wine: Rosewood Calistoga Reporting to the Director of Restaurant Operations and Director of Food & Beverage, the Director of Wine works collaboratively with culinary leadership, restaurant leadership, resort operations, sales and marketing teams, and the broader Napa Valley wine community to create extraordinary guest experiences that distinguish Rosewood Calistoga as a premier luxury destination. YOUR ROLE The Director of Wine is the steward of Rosewood Calistoga's wine vision and strategy, responsible for creating a world-class wine program that celebrates the vineyards, winemakers, and unique culture of Napa Valley. As both a luxury hospitality leader and wine ambassador, you will craft exceptional wine experiences, cultivate meaningful relationships with guests and industry partners, and inspire a culture of wine education and excellence throughout the resort. This highly visible leadership role plays a vital part in enhancing guest satisfaction, driving financial performance, supporting Rosewood's Relationship Hospitality philosophy, and strengthening the property's reputation as one of Napa Valley's most sought-after luxury destinations. HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE * Lead and execute Rosewood Calistoga's strategic wine vision across all dining outlets and guest experiences. * Curate and manage a world-class wine collection featuring Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and renowned international producers. * Create personalized wine journeys, private tastings, vineyard experiences, and bespoke dining pairings for guests. * Build and maintain strong relationships with winery owners, winemakers, distributors, and industry partners throughout Napa Valley. * Partner with culinary leadership to develop innovative food and wine pairing programs and seasonal experiences. * Develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of sommeliers, managers, and service professionals. * Drive beverage revenue growth through innovative programming, inventory management, and strategic financial oversight. * Represent Rosewood Calistoga as a luxury wine ambassador through events, partnerships, community engagement, and industry networking. COULD THIS BE YOU? * You are a recognized wine professional with advanced knowledge of Napa Valley, Sonoma County, California wines, and leading global wine regions. * You excel at creating elevated luxury experiences and building meaningful relationships with guests, collectors, and industry leaders. * You have a proven track record leading exceptional wine programs within luxury hospitality, fine dining, or destination wine experiences. * You are a passionate mentor who enjoys developing talent and fostering a culture of learning and excellence. * You possess strong business acumen and understand beverage profitability, inventory management, forecasting, and financial planning. * You are a compelling communicator and storyteller who brings wine, people, and place together through authentic experiences. * You maintain strong relationships within the Napa Valley wine community and have experience building strategic partnerships. * You hold, or are pursuing, a professional wine certification such as CMS, WSET, MW, or an equivalent credential. PAY TRANSPARENCY The salary range for this position is $115,00-$130,00 annually. This is the pay range that the company expects to pay for this position. This position may also be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on several factors, such as experience, type of experience, location, and education.
