Director of Sales - Property & Casualty (Commercial Lines)
Dallas-Fort Worth, TX | Full-Time | Producing Sales Director & Coach

CoVerica is a premier, employee-owned independent insurance agency with over 40 years of history - and we are actively expanding across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. We're looking for a Director of Sales - P&C to work directly with our President/CEO and Chief Development Officer, driving strategic growth across Commercial Lines, Property & Casualty, and other niche lines. At its core, this is a coaching role: you'll train and cultivate a team of Commercial Lines producers, and your success is measured by the production you help them build - all while continuing to carry your own book.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Coaching & Sales Leadership
• Collaborate directly with the President/CEO and Chief Development Officer on strategic sales initiatives that exceed Commercial Lines retention and revenue targets.
• Develop, implement, and oversee sales and marketing strategies for Commercial Lines, Property & Casualty, and other niche products, in partnership with Client Service leaders and existing carrier partners.
• Train, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Lines producers from onboarding through full production - your success in this position is measured by the production and revenue growth you help them achieve, not just your own book.
• Set clear production goals and KPIs for each producer, and provide hands-on coaching, ride-alongs, and ongoing performance feedback to help them hit and exceed those targets.
• Build a strong team environment and culture of accountability, developing relationships with producers, employees, key clients, carriers, and industry partners as the team's production grows.

New Business Development
• Prospect and develop new Commercial Lines opportunities with business owners, CFOs, risk managers, and executive teams.
• Generate qualified leads through outbound activity, referrals, centers of influence, and agency marketing campaigns.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand client goals around risk management, coverage, loss control, and total cost of risk.
• Present and sell customized commercial insurance programs (Property, General Liability, Auto, Workers Compensation, Umbrella/Excess, and specialty lines) aligned to client objectives and budgets.
• Meet or exceed new business revenue targets for Commercial Lines.

Marketing & Performance Analytics
• Oversee multi-channel Commercial Lines marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, advertising, events, and sponsorships, to build visibility and generate leads.
• Analyze sales and marketing performance metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs, to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to shape sales strategy and product offerings.
• Develop and manage sales forecasts and reporting to track performance against targets.
• Stay current on industry regulations, insurtech, and emerging market trends across commercial P&C lines.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• Active Texas General Lines Property & Casualty License (required).
• Bachelor'a degree, preferably in Business Administration, Insurance/Risk Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Commercial Lines / P&C sales experience.
• Demonstrated success building a strong Commercial Lines book of business from the ground up - proof of concept that you can do it yourself before you lead others to do the same.
• 5-10 years of sales management, coaching, or producer development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial insurance sales, account underwriting, and agency operations.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a proven track record of developing producers and growing team
production.
• A genuine desire to lead a team and mentor others - you measure your own success by how far you help someone else go, not just your own production.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Industry certifications and designations (CIC, CPCU, CRM) are a plus.
• Experience with AMS360 and/or Salesforce Connect is a plus.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM COVERICA
• Medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance added at no cost to you.
• Competitive base salary of $220,000-$230,000, plus incentive compensation tied to individual and team production.
• Paid time off and bonus potential.
• Gym/fitness facility with employee keycard access.
• College loan repayment and tuition reimbursement programs.
• Team-building activities and a genuinely collaborative culture.

READY TO JOIN US?
If you're a producing sales leader who thrives on coaching and developing others - and measures success by the production you help your team build, not just your own - inside a growing, employee-owned agency, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today.

Compensation: $220,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
