Full Job Description
TEi is in search of a motivated, dynamic, and visionary leader to manage the company's Quality function. The Director of Quality will be accountable for ensuring that all company operations adhere to the Quality Control Manual, customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and all relevant standards. This position will oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the company's quality systems and processes. Additionally, the Director of Quality will be responsible for leading the upkeep and advancement of TEi's certifications-including, but not limited to, ISO 9001:2015, ASME Section III, and ASME Section VIII-through the establishment and management of the necessary processes and procedures to maintain compliance with these standards. This role is highly visible and strategic, collaborating closely with TEi's executive leadership team, including the COO, CFO, and CEO, to promote and ensure quality excellence throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities • Provide strategic leadership for the Company's Quality function, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strict adherence to regulatory requirements. • Develop and monitor quality performance metrics, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to facilitate data-driven decision-making. • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams to ensure clear understanding and fulfillment of quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle. • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring compliance with appropriate inspection, testing, and documentation procedures. • Act as the primary liaison for quality-related matters with customers, regulatory authorities, and certification bodies. • Prepare and present updates on quality performance, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team, including the COO, CFO, and CEO. • Review project proposals, cost estimates, and project quality plans. • Participate in Business Process Improvement (BPI) Corporate Quality initiatives as required. Requirements • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, or a related field) is mandatory. • A Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or Business Administration is highly desirable. • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industrial sectors is required. • 5+ years of leadership or management experience, overseeing quality teams, programs, or cross-functional initiatives, is essential. • 5+ years of experience within the Power Industry is required. • Proven expertise in working with ISO 9001:2015, ASME Section III, ASME Section VIII, or other regulated quality systems is expected. • Demonstrated success in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Management Systems is necessary. • Experience in leading internal and external audits, including customer, regulatory, and certification audits, is required. • A strong proficiency in root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement methodologies is essential. • Experience in managing supplier quality programs, vendor qualification, and performance monitoring is necessary. • Experience with manufacturing processes, fabrication, and welding of pressure-boundary equipment is required. • Possession of ISO 9001:2015, ASME Section III, and/or ASME Section VIII Lead Auditor certification, or an equivalent auditing credential, is highly desirable. • Certifications in Non-Destructive Testing, including Visual Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Eddy Current Testing, Dye Penetrant Testing, Acoustic Emission Testing, or Leak Testing, are considered advantageous. • Welding inspection certifications such as Certified Welding Inspector, OSHA Safety Certification, or Certified Welding Engineer are preferred. • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, including Master Black Belt, Black Belt, Green Belt, or Yellow Belt, are regarded as beneficial. • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Demonstrated advanced skills in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking, utilizing features such as pivot tables, charts, and formulas. • Experienced with ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, or equivalent platforms, particularly for quality-related workflows. • Knowledgeable in document control systems and electronic records management practices. • Capable of interpreting and managing digital engineering drawings using software such as AutoCAD or comparable viewers. • Skilled in employing software tools for nonconformance management, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis.
