Make a difference in the lives of older adults!!! A leadership opportunity awaits an experienced & committed MDS Nurse/RN who is dedicated to providing quality service. We are looking for an individual to provide leadership to the MDS team at a well-established, not-for-profit skilled nursing facility located in the Minneapolis, MN area. The Director of MDS will work with the clinical team to help ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines. Director of MDS Responsibilities: • Oversee and audit MDS submissions and reimbursement to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Identify opportunities for improvement in MDS processes, and track RUG scores to ensure appropriate care is provided to residents. • Supervise and provide direction to the MDS Coordinators in the community. • Coordinate and manage the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process • Assures compliance with all state and federal MDS transmission requirements • Identify problems, collaborate with staff, and provide solutions regarding situations, implementing actions and evaluating outcomes. Qualifications: • MN Registered Nurse license • 3-5 years of related experience preferred • Knowledge of Nursing standards of Practice and State/Federal regulations • Excellent clinical, leadership, communication, technical and customer service skills • Extensive knowledge of Insurance coverage and contracts in addition to document regulations and requirements.
