Capital Choice Pathology Lab
As a Director of Laboratory Services you will:
• Oversee histology/immunohistochemistry/molecular technical services in accordance with CAP, state, and federal regulatory agency requirements; standard operating procedures; quality metrics in CCPLab CQI program.
• Update and maintain departmental technical policies and documentation.
• Optimize and ensure workflows increase throughput while maintaining high quality, timely service.
• Ensure that CCPLab histology, cytology, and immunohistochemical technical needs are maintained within 24 hours, 7 days a week laboratory.
• Develop new tests and methodologies as needed in the laboratory.
• Analyze and evaluate quality metrics per CQI and KPIs.
• Oversee corrective action and translate data trends into actionable recommendations to drive efficiency, process improvement, and departmental goals.
• Develop and implement training documentation, competency assessments, personnel development, and performance targets for staff.
• Perform on-boarding process for new associates; Maintains appropriate records for all associates and follows AHC set guidelines for hiring and employee relations.
• Manage budgetary planning and support optimization of resources to achieve financial targets, including understanding of test pricing.
• Assist in preparation and review of Business Contracts, RFP’s (Bid Proposals), and monthly departmental reports.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in the use of Laboratory Information Systems, Microsoft, and EMR systems.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and problem solving; Build relationships with diverse staff and stakeholders.
• Display strong prioritization and project management skills.
• Actively and effectively participate in company meetings; meet goals and timelines; demonstrate professionalism, compassion and leadership for patients, customers, physicians, and staff always.
• Participate in additional activities as needed.
• Ability to travel for the company as needed. This is usually within 50-mile radius. Occasional overnight travel will be expected.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field is preferred
• ASCP related certification required
• 5- 10 years of successful experience in management leadership in a pathology technical laboratory.

Pay Range:
$105,664.42 - $158,496.00
