Full Job Description
Senior Manager / Director, Strategic Finance & FP&A | Beverly Hills, CA (Hybrid) | Full-Time
Our Client, a well-capitalized global entertainment and live events company in an aggressive growth phase - both organically and through acquisition - is hiring a Senior Manager / Director, Strategic Finance and FP&A to build and develop its U.S. financial planning and analysis function from the ground up.
Location: Beverly Hills, CA (Onsite 3 days/week; Tuesday-Thursday preferred) Compensation: $160K-$180K base, plus discretionary bonus Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer Start Date: ASAP
About the Role The U.S. finance team is currently lean and accounting-focused. As the company executes a major growth strategy, leadership needs to build a real FP&A function from the ground up. There is currently no 13-week cash flow forecast in place, the long-range strategic plan has just been handed to the U.S. team to operationalize, and commercial deal underwriting infrastructure is only beginning to take shape. This is a high-ownership builder role, not a maintainer role, reporting directly to a first-time CFO who is actively shaping the team and function.
What You'll Do
Establish and lead the U.S. FP&A function, beginning with core planning, forecasting, cash-flow, and operating-model capabilities
Translate the company's long-range and annual plans into a detailed U.S. financial framework, including operating assumptions, business drivers, performance metrics, and accountability
Build and maintain financial models for core commercial opportunities, evaluating economics, returns, cash requirements, and recoupment
Partner with the CFO and senior leadership on financial analysis and modeling for strategic investments, partnerships, and potential acquisitions
Develop and institutionalize a 13-week cash-flow forecasting process, providing clear visibility into liquidity, commitments, and capital markets activity
Consolidate, structure, and analyze data from Excel and several evolving internal systems to produce reliable management reporting and actionable insights
Develop scalable FP&A processes, reporting tools, and analytical standards to support decision-making across U.S. operations
Work closely with the CFO and business leaders to evaluate performance, identify risks and opportunities, and translate financial analysis into practical business decisions
Take ownership of ambiguous or evolving priorities, bringing sound judgment, initiative, and adaptability throughout the function's build phase
Required Qualifications
Experience in the entertainment, technology, or software industries
Broad, well-rounded FP&A skill set with comfort across operating models, commercial deal analysis, and M&A financial modeling simultaneously
Strong financial modeling capabilities, including the ability to build models from scratch rather than maintain existing ones
Comfort with data querying and bringing raw data to model-ready stage independently
Resourceful and self-directed - comfortable operating without established playbooks or significant hand-holding, in an environment where systems and infrastructure are still evolving
Preferred Qualifications
M&A financial analysis experience, including direct work on deal modeling and pipeline analysis
Ticketing, live events, or music industry experience
Private equity or investment banking background
IFRS familiarity
Experience with Microsoft Business Central and/or NetSuite
