In this role, you will be responsible for assisting new and existing clients in solving their capital project needs, generating new clients, supporting existing clients, and advancing the business development process. You will actively participate in the planning and execution of company marketing activities providing vital input based on your interactions with prospects. 

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading and supporting national growth opportunities for Haskell’s Government Design team
  • Monitoring and identifying upcoming federal project opportunities through platforms such as GovWin, SAM, SAME, and agency/networking sources
  • Developing and maintaining a targeted business development plan, identifying potential teaming partners and securing teaming arrangements that align with our capabilities and goals
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong networking relationships within the Department of Defense
  • Leveraging existing relationships with firms and agencies under current contracts to identify and expand opportunities for our other offices
  • Working closely with our federal marketing team to maintain a current list of strategic teaming partners and identifying firms interested in pursuing joint opportunities
  • Tracking and monitoring existing federal contracts
  • Investigating and proposing new teaming strategies such as joint ventures or mentor-protégé agreements to increase access to federal opportunities.
  • Communicating regularly with leadership, other Business Development Leads, and Project Managers
  • Conducting appropriate research to identify target companies/organizations within industry segments denoted in the business unit plan
  • Contacting, qualifying and setting appointments with targets via telephone and electronic means
  • Participating in SAME (Society of American Military Engineers) and other relevant affiliations
  • Maintaining communication with existing federal clients to monitor satisfaction, address issues as they arise, and provide feedback to internal Project Managers
  • Leveraging existing relationships with firms and agencies under current contracts to identify and expand opportunities for our other offices.
  • Preparing qualifications statements and assists in preparing responses to proposals for specific projects
  • Representing Haskell at trade shows, conventions, and professional meetings '
  • Travel as required – 30% 

Education/Experience: 

  • Minimum of a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, construction, or a related field

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
