Description
The Role
As Director of Architecture, you'll report to our COO and lead the architecture department from our Indianapolis headquarters. You'll own the quality of what we deliver, the growth of the people who produce it, and the department's annual revenue and utilization plans. You'll work side by side with project managers, our civil engineering and surveying teams, and our sales team.
What You'll Own
• A department revenue and utilization plan you build with firm leadership, then deliver against
• One quality-control standard for every architectural deliverable, so drawings go out complete, accurate, and coordinated
• A growing, retained architecture team: a development plan for every person, timely reviews, and a succession bench
• Proposals and pursuits that match firm strategy, plus client relationships that grow beyond a single project
What You'll Do Day-to-Day
• Staff projects with project managers, balancing client commitments, team capacity, and profitability
• Lead design reviews and charrettes, and give design and technical guidance to project managers and staff
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate your team, plan careers and continuing education, and recruit
• Meet with clients to set scope and level of effort, and lead or delegate proposals and interviews with our sales team
• Represent Cripe in professional and educational communities
Where You'll Work
Cripe headquarters, 9339 Priority Way West Drive, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240. We allow people to work from anywhere when needed however this position is an in-person role at our headquarters. Currently Fridays are half days and flexible for in or out of the office work location...you can better word smith this...
