Overview

This is 100% remote position. CHLA requires a primary residence in California prior to start date. Will require on-site visits for meetings as needed by the department.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Exempt Position

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Director, Medical Staff Services provides leadership, direction, and control for all aspects of the department activities. Responsible for developing and implementing plans to meet or exceed customer needs and simultaneously assuring excellent quality and service outcomes for the medical staff office functions. Develop a rapport and level of trust with the Medical Staff and Administrative Leaders, Legal Counsel in the development and revision of Policies & Procedures, Credentialing, Protocol, Goals and Objectives. Plans & integrates quality assessment and improvement into daily work activities. Develops & manages the medical staff operational & capital budget according to hospital policy.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in medical staff/credentialing.
  • 3+ years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Thorough knowledge of CMS/DNV Standards.
Preferred:
  • Prior experience as a Director of Medical Staff.
Education/Licensure/Certifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services.


Pay Scale Information

USD $154,294.40 - USD $240,683.04
