This leader ensures operating models are clear and consistently applied, while managing organizational change with minimal disruption during onboarding, transitions, and transformation initiatives. The role drives broader operations community excellence through scalable best practices, automation, AI integration, and streamlined processes that manage increasing complexity more effectively.

  • Eliminate funding friction - streamline how marketing work gets approved and activated

Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence

  • Build trusted relationships across the GEICO teams - essential for creating a system that actually works organization-wide

  • Create buy-in and consensus with teams outside your direct control

  • Design transparent communication so all teams stay clear on marketing ops progress with the right level of detail for each audience

Risk, Governance & Financial Stewardship

  • Primary marketing partner to Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams

  • Balance innovation with control- enable speed while maintaining operational integrity

  • Establish governance frameworks that ensure regulatory adherence, audit readiness, and risk mitigation

  • Drive automation to reduce manual effort, errors, and duplication

  • Ensure marketing investments scale without introducing operational, regulatory, or reputational risk

Partner & Scope Leadership

  • Lead partner strategy (alongside legal and supplier management) across supplier selection, negotiations, renewals, and compliance

  • Design scope processes within marketing that start with clear briefs and deliver trackable, measurable outcomes

  • Ensure compliance while supporting strategic sourcing and competitive RFPs

  • Single threaded leader for agency and supply management

Performance & Operational Excellence

  • Evolve supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, and regular business reviews

  • Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements and cost-saving initiatives

  • Resolve performance issues quickly with structured corrective action plans

What Success Looks Like:

  • Measurable improvements in efficiency (speed, reduced friction) and effectiveness (quality, impact of output)

  • Strong adoption of the MOS across teams and agency partners

  • Marketing leaders can clearly articulate how the system enables better business outcomes

  • The MOS acts as a multiplier on marketing engagement, performance, and scalability

Core Traits

  • A system level thinker with strong creative intuition
