Join Fairstone as a Director, Cards and Retail Finance Marketing reporting to the Vice President, Cards, Product and Marketing, and be part of our talented and growing team!

About the role:

We're looking for a seasoned results-oriented marketing professional to lead the Cards and Retail Financing Marketing teams. The successful candidate will support the business in Marketing Planning and be responsible for its execution and KPI success. Leading a team of highly skilled Marketers and working across the organization, this role will unlock best in class programs and solutions that enable the successful delivery of our partner commitments and build success for our collective businesses.

This Cards portfolio consists of multiple products including Walmart Rewards Mastercard, Walmart Rewards World Mastercard, and Home Trust Visa products. The successful candidate will focus on maximizing account growth, driving activation and engagement, enabling innovation, and enhancing value perception across them all.

The Retail Financing portfolio consists of thousands of Merchant relationships, with key strategic partners like Best Buy, Ashley Furniture and the Dufresne Group. The successful candidate will provide thought leadership in building successful Marketing programs to drive their unique business needs and support growth in their retail financing businesses.

What you'll do:
  • Build, develop and lead a talented group of Marketing professionals in support of the Cards and Retail Financing portfolios.
  • Support the business in the development and successful delivery of the marketing plan to meet targets across both portfolios, leading multi-channel customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Measure results of all marketing initiatives and ensure yearly initiatives drives KPIs to meet plan
  • Work closely with Analytics teams to identify data driven lifecycle opportunities to deepen customer relationships and drive business outcomes.
  • Work with Internal and External creative partners to establish the creative strategy and be accountable for final review and approval of omni channel creative and messaging.
  • Lead the team on marketing initiative development ensuring campaigns are on-strategy and appropriate approvals are secured, uniting stakeholders around a unified visual brand, marketing and communication presence.
  • Represent Marketing in key Partner communication forums and meetings, providing thought leadership, sharing results and securing alignment on recommendations. Proactively bring forward opportunities to strengthen our relationships and build competitive advantage.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators across the portfolios, engaging with Marketing Operations and Analytics to create timely dashboards and reports.
  • Identify opportunities across Cards and Retail Financing portfolios to leverage learnings and create synergies for the benefit of both.
  • Manage planning, budgeting, resourcing and prioritization across teams
  • Responsible for vendors' compliance, campaign performance, and quality


What we're looking for:

  • 10+ years of credit card marketing experience including branding, creative, research, media, digital marketing, and direct marketing
  • 5+ years of marketing leadership and people management
  • Experience working with strategic partners and supporting a shared delivery of program success
  • Ability to propose solutions to complex and unique challenges and execute to completion
  • Extensive experience in leading the sizing of new business opportunities, assessing customer impacts, and making strategic recommendations
  • Experience in developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating in an agile/sprint environment
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new ideas and be able to communicate effectively with various cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking to drive business insights
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, analytical, problem solving, and issue resolution skills
  • Proven ability to effectively work with team members, business users and technical staff
  • Presentation skills required with abilities to successfully influence and drive direction to accomplish department goals
  • Bilingualism a strong asset

What you can expect - pay & process:

  • Expected base salary range is $130,000 - $150,000 , plus the opportunity to earn an annual incentive bonus tied to performance
