Expected salary range of $203,400 to $226,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of PositionWe are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to serve as our Data Director, a pivotal role in shaping and driving our enterprise data strategy. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in building robust data programs, breaking down barriers between business and IT, and forging a clear path forward to unlock the full potential of data across the organization.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities- Maintain relationships with business, and IT customers, ensure business processes and requirements are identified and well understood across organization, facilitate committees and/or forums to drive adoption of Data Strategy and tools (analytics, automation, emerging tech).
- Manage relationships with partners and vendors, including but not limited to auditors, risk management functions, other IT functions, and business partners, to deliver projects of high complexity and significant size and change management challenges.
- Manage the maintenance, implementation, support, and enhancement of any applications and systems put in place to support responsibility areas.
- Partner with customers to justify and prioritize investments and manage the delivery and execution of engagements while ensuring top quartile levels of customer satisfaction.
- Drive process improvement and lead adoption of standard Management Model processes and procedures, which deliver sustainable top quartile cost and performance levels.
- Develop and manage department budget.
- Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees.
- Bring thought leadership and expertise not just in areas of direct responsibility but other areas including but not limited to data architecture, data science, ML and AI.
- Design and execute an enterprise data roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Hands-on development of modern data platforms (cloud-first) using Data Vault modeling for scalability and agility.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to standardize data governance, metadata management, and quality frameworks.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions (e.g., analytics, AI/ML pipelines).
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, architects, and analysts.
- Ensure data practices meet SOX, GDPR, and CCPA requirements.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- 12 years of related experience
- Supervisory or managerial experience
- Experience in building and leading enterprise data programs, including hands-on expertise with data vault modeling and platform development
- Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional partnerships to achieve strategic objectives
- Deep understanding of data governance, architecture, and security principles
- Familiarity with Azure Data Fabrics, Databricks, and enterprise data warehouses supporting ERP systems is essential
- Strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging data to drive innovation and create business value. Demonstrated strategic planning and customer engagement skills and experience leading organizations and people through change
- Excellent consultative skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Advanced interpersonal skills, communications skills, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to present and discuss complex technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and approval

Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Information Systems or Business Program
- Graduate degree in Technology, MBA or related discipline
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering)
