SUMMARY:

The Director, Identity & Access Management (IAM) will ensure Motion's identity and access posture is strong, proactive, and aligned with current and future business objectives, including the needs of newly acquired operations as Motion grows. This role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, organizational savvy, and strong communication and presentation abilities, along with the ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

JOB DUTIES

  • Lead the IAM function across Single Sign-On(SSO), Multi Factor Authentication(MFA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
  • Oversees Access Request & Provisioning and Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes, ensuring timely and accurate access lifecycle management.
  • Manages Entitlement Management and Access Certification programs, ensuring access rights remain appropriate and auditable over time.
  • Oversees Secrets Management practices to protect credentials and sensitive access keys across the environment.
  • Establishes and governs the lifecycle of non-human identities — service accounts, API keys, certificates, workload and machine identities — including inventory, ownership assignment, credential rotation, and periodic review.
  • Extends access certification and least-privilege standards to non-human identities, ensuring automated detection and remediation of orphaned, over-privileged, or stale service accounts.
  • Defines minimum access and identity configuration standards across IT systems, in partnership with IT governance.
  • Owns SOX evidence collection and audit support for IAM-related controls, ensuring readiness for internal and external reviews.
  • Develops and maintain IAM policies and procedures in alignment with established governance channels.
  • Serves as an internal security consultant to the business, balancing security requirements with day-to-day operational needs.
  • Evaluates new IAM technologies and platforms, and lead their integration into Motion's environment.
  • Recommends security controls and best practices that protect the business without hindering functionality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and fifteen (15) or more years of related experience.
  • Typically requires seven (7) or more years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skill.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Direct experience with Identity & Access Management, including governance (IGA).
  • Working knowledge of IAM platforms and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Experience managing non-human identity risk, including service accounts, workload identities, and certificate/key lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business risk into technical solutions.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present ideas in business-friendly, accessible language.
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to operate effectively in a hands-on organizational structure and to prioritize effectively against deadlines.
  • Team-oriented and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience with security architecture design.
  • Relevant security certifications.
  • Familiarity with company systems and ERPs.
