AS THE DIRECTOR of the EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT you will be responsible for coordinating the administrative and clinical activities for the Emergency Department. The Director is responsible for the management of all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment, while promoting teamwork amongst physicians and personnel of other departments to maintain a collaborative work environment. The Director holds 24-hour responsibility and accountability for all patient care activities, unit operations, and staff functions. The Director reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and Service Line Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related health care field preferred
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Management, or related field preferred
- Emergency Nurse Certification required within three years of hire
- Three years of current experience in field during which leadership and management skills have been demonstrated preferred
- Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification obtained within 6 months of start date required
- Completion of Arrhythmia Course and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within one year of start date required
- Previous clinical experience in emergency medicine preferred
