What You'll DoThe Job: Director, Data Architecture & Information Management
As the
Director, Data Architecture & Information Management, you will serve as the organization's designated authority and strategic leader for enterprise data architecture. Working across major business and technology initiatives, you will influence key decisions and lead the evolution of the enterprise data systems architecture, enterprise data model, and Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities.
This leadership role is accountable for setting the strategic direction for data and establishing the standards, patterns, information models, and architecture review processes that govern how data is designed, integrated, and managed across the enterprise. Through this work, you will enable trusted, scalable, and reusable information assets that support business operations, analytics, digital initiatives, and AI capabilities.
What You'll Do- Provide architectural leadership and design oversight across major projects, programs, and technology initiatives that impact enterprise data.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to define future-state data capabilities and architecture roadmaps aligned with strategic priorities.
- Define and lead the organization's Master Data Management (MDM) strategy, architecture, and roadmap, beginning with customer data and expanding across additional domains.
- Own and evolve the enterprise canonical data model and business information architecture to improve consistency, interoperability, reuse, and scalability.
- Establish and govern enterprise data architecture standards, design patterns, information models, reference architectures, and architecture review processes.
- Lead enterprise data modeling, metadata architecture, information lifecycle management, and related architectural practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, data platforms, and AI capabilities to strengthen the enterprise data architecture and create business value.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Data Architects, Data Modelers, and Data Engineers..
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Management, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise data architecture, information architecture, data modeling, and information management.
- Proven success influencing enterprise-wide business and technology decisions through architectural leadership.
- Experience partnering with Enterprise, Solution, and Cloud Architects to establish end-to-end architecture strategies.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise data standards, architecture patterns, and governance processes.
- Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Experience leading Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives and enterprise information management programs.
- Experience developing enterprise information models, integration standards, and reference architectures.
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior business and technology leaders to define future-state architecture roadmaps.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience designing or supporting modern cloud-based data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
- Experience with modern data transformation and modeling practices using dbt or similar technologies.
- Experience enabling AI, advanced analytics, customer intelligence, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience building and leading architecture or information management teams.
