The OpportunityRex is seeking a Director, Capital Markets to own direct LP capital formation across our private equity real estate platform. We are expanding aggressively, backed by a proven record of executing major multifamily transactions. Each acquisition requires $10M to $30M in non-controlling LP equity, and the capital pool we intend to deploy over the coming years runs into the billions. This leader turns that appetite into a repeatable, high-conviction investor engine. This role is anchored by three core mandates. First, originate and close direct LP relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, independent RIAs, and their advisors, focused on true LP capital rather than institutional JV equity. Second, own the capital formation process across multiple live deals at once, from first call to funded commitment, working in lockstep with acquisitions and senior leadership. Third, build the team and infrastructure behind it: the pipeline discipline, investor CRM, reporting rhythm, and associate bench that scale raising capacity well beyond any single person. Capital stacks typically combine agency debt, preferred equity, and passive LP equity, and this leader must speak that language fluently with investors and internal partners alike. The ideal candidate has 5-8+ years of experience in private equity real estate capital raising, private wealth, or a closely related investor-facing role, with a demonstrable track record of raising LP equity from private capital. They are a principal-level presence: credible in the room with a family office principal, relentless on the phone, and comfortable carrying a number. They lead associates by example, hold themselves to a competitive athlete's standard, and show a bias toward action. They combine sharp commercial judgment with a fiduciary's respect for investor trust. Not for mercenaries. Only for missionaries. This leader must be deeply aligned with Rex's mission to catalyze human flourishing through disciplined stewardship of investor capital. Fully remote.
About the RoleRex is hiring a Director, Capital Markets to turn an active, capitalized acquisitions platform into a dependable flow of committed LP equity. The platform has real transaction velocity, and the mandate is to build the investor engine that keeps pace with it and then outruns it.
This role owns outcomes across origination, relationship management, and closing, not just activity. You will operate as the connective tissue between investors, acquisitions, asset management, and senior leadership, ensuring that every live deal has a clear equity plan, a disciplined pipeline, and a named path to funded commitments. You will carry a number and be accountable for it.
You will cultivate deep, trusted relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, single-family offices, independent RIAs, and the advisors who steer large private capital allocations. This role does not involve raising JV equity from institutional groups. You are building lasting relationships with investors who allocate their own capital without requiring control, and you are earning their conviction through judgment, transparency, and follow-through.
This is a hands-on, high-impact seat for a principal-level capital raiser who wants to build something durable inside a mission-driven enterprise. Must be missionary to the bone.
