Director, Growth - Connected Warfare (International / APAC)
Locations: Tokyo, Japan; Singapore; Taipei, Taiwan
(In-Region Expat Placement | Requires Regional Relocation or Existing Residency)
About the Team
The Connected Warfare Growth Team is responsible for identifying, shaping, capturing, and expanding strategic opportunities for Connected Warfare's solutions. Including Voyager-Anduril's modular, rugged suite of compute, networking, and communications hardware built for survivable C5ISR at the tactical edge, the Menace Family of Systems, Warfighters systems and Lattice.
As a TRL-9, globally fielded portfolio spanning roughly 75 products, Voyager serves as the physical hardware bedrock of Anduril's "Own the Edge" strategy. It provides the foundational compute, multi-transport routing, and tactical connectivity that powers our broader mission ecosystems.
The International Growth team operates at the tip of the spear across allied nations, moving beyond traditional prime bureaucracy to deliver sovereign edge compute and software-defined command and control to coalition partners facing urgent operational threats.
About the Job
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, high-velocity Director of Growth (International / APAC) to lead Connected Warfare portfolio capture across key Indo-Pacific allies-Voyager as the primary entry vector, with a deliberate expansion path into Menace, Lattice, and Warfighter systems.
Sitting forward-deployed in Tokyo, Singapore, or Taipei, you will own the commercial growth playbook across regional Ministries of Defence (e.g., Japan MOD/ATLA, Taiwan MND, Singapore MINDEF, and regional partners). This is not a traditional government-affairs or diplomatic role built on high-level coffee meetings, nor is it a passive Foreign Military Sales (FMS) administrative desk. We are looking for a gritty commercial hunter and self-sufficient "doer" who can walk into allied operational headquarters, identify tactical deployment pain points, demonstrate our hardware, and execute Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and co-development programs at scale ($20M+).
What You'll Do
- Lead Connected Warfare APAC Sales Motions: Connected and lead a matrixed team of sellers, engineers, and other key stakeholder to support the CW sales motion across APAC countries. This will include tight partnership with in-country Anduril teams to ensure clear alignment and a strong sales motion.
- Execute In-Region Sovereign Capture: Build and execute an aggressive, proactive commercial capture strategy across allied Indo-Pacific nations, driving direct hardware sales, system integrations, and multi-year sovereign programs of record.
- Drive Gritty Commercial Hunting (DCS Focus): Take full accountability for pipeline generation and contract closure. Move beyond passive FMS channels by originating Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), in-country co-development partnerships, and bilateral defense modernization initiatives.
- Lead CW Capture-Voyager as the Entry Point: Use Voyager-Anduril's modular, TRL-9 edge compute and comms stack-as the initial beachhead in allied accounts. Displace legacy tactical hardware incumbents to establish the physical edge layer, then leverage that installed base to drive follow-on programs in Menace EW/SIGINT, Lattice C2, and Warfighter systems as operational relationships deepen.
- Anchor the Platform Ecosystem: Position Voyager not just as standalone tactical iron, but as the critical physical carrier that pulls through Anduril's broader software-defined capabilities-serving as the edge engine for Lattice C2, Menace-T EW/SIGINT, and Deadshot precision fire-control.
- Execute CW Land-and-Expand Programs: Once Voyager is fielded in an allied account, drive systematic expansion across the CW portfolio. Identify post-deployment gaps-spectrum management, ISR fusion, C2 fragmentation-and shape follow-on requirements that only Menace, Lattice, or Warfighter systems can fill. Own the multi-year CW program roadmap, not just the initial hardware sale.
- Be an Autonomous "Doer": Operate with high autonomy as an individual contributor in-theater. You must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to set up hardware demonstrations, brief technical officers on tactical networking, draft technical proposals, and negotiate complex cross-border procurement terms without needing a large back-office support team.
- Navigate Allied Governance & Export Pathways: Master the regulatory and acquisition frameworks across priority partner nations, working closely with trade compliance, export controls (ITAR/EAR), and local industrial partners to accelerate delivery from contract to the deckplate.
- Voice of the Allied Warfighter: Partner directly with Connected Warfare engineering and product leaders at HQ, relaying ground-truth feedback from APAC operators to drive continuous product evolution for coalition warfare.
Required Qualifications
- In-Region Presence: Must currently reside in, or be fully willing to relocate as an in-region expatriate to Tokyo, Japan; Singapore; or Taipei, Taiwan. (US-based or Australia-based candidates will not be considered for this specific posting).
- 10+ Years of Direct Sales & Capture Track Record: Proven background in defense business development, commercial capture, or technical sales, with a verified history of hunting, negotiating, and closing significant defense hardware or mission systems contracts.
- Proven Commercial Hunter DNA: Demonstrated ability to close business under challenging procurement conditions. We specifically screen out pure relationship managers or programmatic sustainers; you must have experience originating deals from scratch and driving them across the finish line.
- Fluency in Tactical Hardware & Edge Architecture: Deep technical command of tactical edge deployments-comfortable speaking with engineers and operators on low-SWaP compute, tactical MANET/RF waveforms, server virtualization, PCIe bus architectures, and C5ISR integration; and conversant in EW/SIGINT (Menace), software-defined C2 (Lattice), and Warfighter systems to credibly pitch multi-domain CW capability packages-not just the hardware layer.
- Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) Experience: Direct experience negotiating commercial contracts, sovereign bilateral agreements, or direct commercial exports with allied defence ministries, rather than solely relying on US Government-facilitated FMS cases.
- Self-Sufficiency & High Agency: Demonstrated success operating independently in international markets without requiring large support teams or specialized capture coordinators to do the day-to-day groundwork.
- Heavy Travel Posture: Willingness to travel extensively (50%+) throughout the Indo-Pacific region, operational exercise ranges, and U.S. engineering hubs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record displacing entrenched defense incumbents across hardware (e.g., PacStar/Curtiss-Wright, Mercury Systems, legacy tactical SDR providers), EW/SIGINT (e.g., L3Harris, Rohde & Schwarz), and C2 software (e.g., legacy MIL-STD-6016 stacks, proprietary ISR fusion platforms) in allied tactical deployments.
- Existing operational and procurement networks inside the Japan Ministry of Defense / ATLA, Taiwan MND, or Singapore MINDEF.
- Prior military operational experience (communications, naval systems, infantry, or tactical aviation) or background as a forward-deployed technical specialist.
- Professional working proficiency or fluency in Japanese or Mandarin Chinese is a strong competitive differentiator.
- Experience selling hybrid hardware-software architectures where physical compute acts as the container for edge AI, autonomy, or advanced C2 applications.
Why This Role Matters
Connected Warfare is the glue that ties in the mission together. Lattice, Voyager, Menace and other systems are the core of our solutions. Voyager is where Anduril's edge strategy becomes physical. Without survivable compute and reliable, transport-agnostic comms at the tactical edge, software-defined warfare cannot exist. In the Indo-Pacific, where contested logistics, vast maritime distances, and electronic warfare dominate the operational landscape, Voyager is the lifeline that connects distributed forces.
In this role, you will be the tip of Anduril's commercial spear across the Pacific-fielding the sovereign hardware infrastructure that deters conflict and protects our allies.
