Full Job Description
Restaurants are undergoing a tech revolution - and OpenTable is at the center of it. We are seeking a strategically minded Director of B2B & Corporate Communications to own the global narrative that drives our presence and credibility within the hospitality industry. Reporting to the Head of Global Communications, you will serve as a high-impact leadership figure responsible for positioning the company as a strategic technology and data partner. In this role, you will ensure that every touchpoint with restaurant customers, technology partners, and the broader business community strengthens our reputation as an industry leader. Your focus will be on building trust as an ultimate differentiator and expanding our corporate narrative globally. Responsibilities • Develop and execute comprehensive B2B communication strategies to strengthen relationships with restaurant customers, prospects, partners, and industry influencers - working hand-in-hand with marketing and go-to-market teams to make every campaign land harder. • Own communications for global partnerships, integrations, and emerging business units, orchestrating co-announcements and shared storylines with major technology platforms. • Lead external storytelling around product innovation, AI developments, and industry milestones to advocate for restaurant success and solidify OpenTable's global market presence. • Get OpenTable's story in front of the people who matter - pitching, shaping, and landing coverage across mainstream and emerging media, and turning reactive moments into opportunities to lead the conversation. • Manage the executive bench in partnership with brand communications by crafting talking points, speeches, bylines, and preparing leadership for high-profile industry appearances. • Support crisis navigation, operational resiliency, and data policy defenses to protect and enhance OpenTable's corporate reputation. • Build the backbone that makes it all work - approval workflows, escalation paths, messaging guardrails, and KPI reporting that ties communications directly to business impact. Minimum Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in B2B public relations or corporate communications within the technology or hospitality sectors. • Experience managing public relations and communications strategy on a global scale. • Proven track record managing high-stakes issues, policy responses, and competitive positioning. • Experience advising executive leadership on complex communications and reputational matters. • Based in New York City or the Tri-State area, willing to work in a hybrid capacity from the NYC or Norwalk, CT office. Preferred Qualifications • Experience managing co-marketing or joint-communication strategies with global technology platforms and enterprise partners. • Demonstrated ability to utilize data insights and performance metrics to shape corporate messaging and inform strategic business decisions. • Prior experience collaborating across brand, product, and legal teams within a global matrixed organization or parent company environment. • Strong background in managing communication frameworks for emerging business units or rapidly scaling technology solutions. Benefits and Perks • Work from (almost) anywhere for up to 20 days per year • Focus on mental health and well-being: • Company-paid therapy sessions through SpringHealth • Company-paid subscription to Headspace • Annual company-wide week off a year - the whole team fully recharges (and returns without a pile-up of work!) • Paid parental leave • Generous paid vacation + time off for your birthday • Paid volunteer time • Focus on your career growth: • Development Dollars • Leadership development • Access to thousands of on-demand e-learnings • Travel Discounts • Employee Resource Groups • Free lunch 5 days per week • Beautiful office in the Empire State Building with lots of building amenities, such as a gym, multi-purpose room, in-building Starbucks, and more. The best connections happen face-to-face, whether you're sitting down to dinner or having coffee with a coworker. That's why OpenTable has adopted a hybrid workplace model. This role aligns with that approach, with an expectation of coming into the office two days a week-giving employees the best of both worlds: in-person collaboration and flexibility. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States based role is $165,000 - $185,000.
