The Digital Experience & Marketing Technology Lead is a hybrid digital role responsible for advancing website experience standards, marketing technology capabilities, digital governance, and operational excellence across a portfolio of more than 50 websites.
This role serves as a digital subject matter expert and connective layer among digital strategy, user experience, marketing technology, agency partners, internal IT, Privacy, Legal, analytics partners, and business stakeholders. The position combines expertise in website experience, UX governance, accessibility, digital experience health, privacy operations, search marketing support, and emerging AI capabilities.
The ideal candidate is a technically proficient, forward-thinking digital professional who can translate business needs and technical findings into actionable requirements, govern digital platforms, identify optimization opportunities, and collaborate across teams to drive improvements. The role complements the Search Marketing Manager by adding technical depth, operational support, and governance across paid search, SEO, AEO, and GEO while maintaining primary responsibility for website experience and marketing technology operations.
How You'll Spend Your Day
Website Experience, UX & Digital Standards
• Review website briefs, Figma files, design concepts, mockups, and agency build kits for alignment with company UX standards, accessibility expectations, measurement needs, technical dependencies, and digital best practices.
• Provide actionable feedback on navigation, content hierarchy, user journeys, calls-to-action, responsive design, and overall experience quality before internal IT development.
• Establish and maintain scalable digital review frameworks, standards, and governance processes; stay current on evolving user expectations and industry practices.
Accessibility, Compliance & Experience Health
• Ensure website requirements, designs, layouts, and digital assets align with WCAG AA standards and address accessibility early in development.
• Use Siteimprove, Conductor Website Monitoring, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and related platforms to monitor accessibility, website quality, search visibility, content quality, measurement, and optimization opportunities across the portfolio.
• Translate findings into clear business requirements; partner with IT, agencies, analytics, and search teams to prioritize remediation, resolve recurring issues, and improve website quality, reliability, and user experience.
• Maintain awareness of evolving accessibility standards, regulatory expectations, and digital compliance requirements.
Privacy & Consent Management
• Support operational management of OneTrust, including website scans, cookie discovery, categorization, consent-management processes, and updates to tracking requirements.
• Partner with Privacy, Legal, IT, and agency teams to maintain compliant digital experiences and assess the impact of technology changes on cookies, analytics, consent, and measurement.
Search Marketing Support & Technical Enablement
• Partner with the Search Marketing Manager to support paid search, SEO, AEO, and GEO governance, providing technical review of agency recommendations, requirements, and deliverables.
• Support oversight of Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising through measurement validation and governance; use Google Search Console and platforms such as Semrush, Conductor, or Ahrefs to identify performance and optimization opportunities.
• Support technical SEO, including indexing, site structure, metadata, redirects, structured data, and related improvements; translate search recommendations into actionable website, analytics, and technical requirements.
• Provide operational support and coverage for search marketing governance activities when needed.
Artificial Intelligence, Automation & Innovation
• Champion responsible use of Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, AI agents, and emerging technologies to improve research, documentation, reporting, analysis, digital reviews, and process automation.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive digital operations and improve team scalability while applying sound prompt engineering, output validation, privacy considerations, and an understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations.
• Evaluate AI capabilities affecting digital marketing, search, analytics, user experience, and website operations, and share practical best practices across digital workflows.
Your Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Web Design, Computer Science, or a related degree program.
• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, website operations, marketing technology, digital experience, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of website design processes, UX principles, digital governance, agency collaboration, and review of Figma designs, website comps, mockups, and digital assets.
• Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, SEO platforms such as Semrush, Conductor, or Ahrefs, OneTrust or similar consent-management platforms, Siteimprove or similar quality/accessibility platforms, and website monitoring tools such as Conductor.
• Working knowledge of digital analytics, measurement requirements, tracking considerations, website health indicators, and WCAG AA accessibility standards.
• Technical understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, cookies, tracking technologies, and digital analytics concepts, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear business requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across IT, agencies, analytics partners, and business stakeholders; ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives through completion.
• Practical experience applying AI, automation, and emerging technologies, including proficiency with Microsoft Copilot and working knowledge of ChatGPT, Claude, and AI agent technologies.
Also Good to Have
• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or another regulated industry, including support for enterprise website portfolios.
• Experience establishing digital governance frameworks and partnering with agencies and technical teams in a complex digital environment.
• Experience with Adobe Workfront or similar project-management platforms and improving digital operations through automation or AI-enabled workflows.

Salary Range
The annual starting salary for this position is between $95,120 - $118,900 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
