DevOps Backend Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a Software Factory DevOps Engineer on our team, you'll pipeline our software development from requirements to testing in production. You'll incorporate automation and cloud resources to minimize repetitive tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best-innovate. You'll work together with fellow professionals to implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to limit manual testing and troubleshooting.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience delivering DevOps or DevSecOps solutions for complex enterprise or mission-critical environments, including cloud migration, application modernization, or cloud adoption
  • 3+ years of experience developing and supporting backend applications, APIs, microservices, integrations, and automation services using Python, Java, C#/.NET, Go, or Node.js
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI, or Cloud One, covering containers, Kubernetes, cloud services, networking, identity, data services, or deployment patterns
  • Experience building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps, including automated builds, testing, security scanning, artifact management, or multi-environment deployment
  • Experience using Terraform and scripting languages, such as Python, Linux Shell, or PowerShell, to automate infrastructure, deployments, testing, monitoring, and operations across applications, pipelines, or production issues
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD
  • Knowledge of creating and improving continuous automation across multiple cloud service providers
  • Knowledge of creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
  • Knowledge of triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in government cloud environments
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Linux Shell Script, PowerShell, and Python
  • Possession of strong troubleshooting skills

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
