Job Purpose:

Our Design Project Manager is responsible for project managing packaging design and/or testing opportunities to support the company's strategic business goals. This role will aid in business analysis, operational enhancements and will collaborate with their functional partners to work through projects from concept to completion.

Job Responsibilities:

● Support project management portfolio for custom packaging solutions in support of the Veritiv Sales organization and manage resources needed to reach objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
● Utilize best practices techniques and standards throughout the entire project execution and identify opportunities and solutions to improve efficiencies.
● Generate and interpret reporting data and uses data to support and communicate technical decisions.
● Manage programs to maintain schedules and budgets according to project scope and manage schedule based on business priorities, adjusting assignments and deadlines accordingly.
● Communicate to stakeholders the status of milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks/issues.
● Develop and present technical presentations for internal and external communication and engages in client-facing meetings.
● Collaborate with other PMs and Functional Managers to ensure best utilization of resources.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

●Intermediate-level software program experience:

  • WorkFront.

Intermediate knowledge of packaging materials:

  • Corrugate.
  • Fiberboard/Rigid Box.
  • Molded Pulp.
  • Plastics (Films, thermoforms, molded).
  • Foam (Molded/fabricated).
  • Wood.
  • Metal.
  • Labels/Adhesives.
  • Printing (Litho/Offset, Flexo, Digital).

Intermediate understanding of:

  • Design principles (including packaging design, retail and e-commerce design, retail displayand fixture design).
  • Project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Reporting analytics.
  • Industrial design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain in a globally sourcedenvironment.

Proven experience managing design initiatives to meet the client brief.
Ability to plan/prioritize activities of varying complexity.
Ability to understand a business opportunity and how to align design-driven solutions to it.
Ability to build trust with the team and partners.

Work Experience:

● 3-5 years of related job experience.

● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.

● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

● Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes, and challenges.

● Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.

● Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.

● Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

● Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).

● Strong planning and organization skills are required.









Education:

● Bachelor's Degree Preferred
