What You Will Do:
The Deputy Project Manager will support day-to-day management of the Business Process Improvement Program, coordinating Agile workstreams, deliverables, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, risk management, and performance tracking. The Deputy PM will serve as the Project Manager's alternate and help ensure successful delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Manage schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource assignments.
Maintain project plans, RAID logs, staffing plans, and action trackers.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and sprint planning sessions.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities across workstreams.
Monitor project performance, risks, dependencies, and issues.
Develop executive status reports and briefing materials.
Track contract deliverables and support quality assurance reviews.
Coordinate communications among business and technical teams.
Support governance meetings and leadership briefings.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum Seven (7) years of experience in IT.
Five(5) years of project management experience.
Experience supporting business process improvement or modernization projects.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management best practices.
Experience using Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Must be US citizen.
Work from client office in Washington, DC and Guidehouse office in Tyson's Corner, VA.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or Agile certification.
Experience supporting federal government clients.
Experience with federal financial regulators.
Experience coordinating multi-workstream delivery programs.
Familiarity with regulatory, financial services, or data modernization environments.
Experience preparing executive-level communications and reporting.
