Position Description: You will provide support to the Program Manager of a 200 person contractor team that includes subcontractor personnel.
Work location and telework: The government work location is the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Contractors will be required to work at the Navy Yard and in nearby office locations up to 5 days a week. Teleworking may be possible with the customers' approval, but it will need to evolve as the work relationships evolve.
Responsibilities and Duties:Deputy Program Managers support Program Managers who are concerned with the overall planning, direction, and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives that have great significance to the activities and agency's needs. Programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasks. Program Managers are also responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long-range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiating with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
• There are three different ways to be qualified for this position:
1. A high school degree, or a GED, and twenty
(20) years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser program management or administrative experience,
2. A bachelor's degree and fifteen
(15) years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser program management or administrative experience,
3. A master's degree and ten
(10) years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser program management or administrative experience.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:• ActiveSecret Clearance
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Experience:
o Program management experience managing a support services contract
o Experience with ACAT I major weapon systems and ACAT II through IV programs
o Demonstrated knowledge of Navy/DOD policy and guidance
o Demonstrated knowledge with cost, schedule and performance as it relates to program execution
o Communication and briefing skills
o Experience with financial management
o Proficiency with Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
Travel Requirements:• Travel should be infrequent but include occasional trips to support government efforts at East and West Coast naval centric areas like Norfolk, VA and San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this role is:
150,000 - 200,000 USD per year (DC Office)
