Overview

We are seeking a data-driven Demand Planner to manage, optimize, and execute our product forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will leverage SAP IBP for advanced statistical modeling and scenario planning, ensuring seamless data alignment and execution within our core SAP ECC environment. This role serves as a critical bridge between cross-functional business units (Sales, Marketing, Finance) and supply chain execution to drive forecast accuracy and optimize inventory levels.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Forecasting (SAP IBP): Develop and maintain high-quality baseline statistical forecasts within SAP IBP Demand Planning, leveraging machine learning, demand sensing, and historical data patterns.  – 25%
  • System Integration & Data Flow: Manage the transfer of master data and planning figures between SAP IBP and SAP ECC. Ensure generated forecasts successfully write back to ECC as Planned Independent Requirements (PIR) to feed Material Requirements Planning (MRP).- 10%
  • Consensus Planning & S&OP: Facilitate monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings with sales, marketing, and finance teams to integrate promotional calendars, market intelligence, and lifecycle changes into the consensus plan.25%
  • Data Sanitization & Integrity: Audit and clean historical sales history data within SAP IBP, adjusting for one-time anomalies, stockouts, or unexpected spikes to ensure forecast model integrity – 25%
  • KPI Management: Track, analyze, and report on key metrics including Forecast Accuracy, Error, Bias, and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), diagnosing root causes to continuously refine the system's predictive accuracy. 15%

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 to 5+ years of dedicated supply chain or demand planning experience.
  • SAP IBP Expertise: Minimum 2 years of practical experience using SAP IBP (specifically the Demand and S&OP modules), including setting up key figures, planning levels, and running "what-if" scenario models.
  • SAP ECC Fluency: Solid functional knowledge of SAP ECC modules (specifically PP, MM, or SD), master data elements (material master, BOMs), and how system-led planning maps to execution.
  • Analytical Tools: Highly proficient in advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling) and analytics platforms like Microsoft Power BI.
  • Soft Skills: Proven ability to translate complex data into clear operational guidance and manage cross-functional stakeholder alignments effectively

Base Pay

Expected Base Pay Range: $90k - $118k annualized. The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed.  Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
