Description
The Database Architect/Technical Lead guides the engineering work of a Sprint Team on the platform. You will own technical direction and code quality for your team, mentor developers, and ensure solutions align to the program's cloud-native, AI-augmented architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership and design direction for the Sprint Team
- Own code quality, code reviews, and engineering best practices
- Translate architecture standards into team-level implementation decisions
- Mentor developers and support their technical growth
- Partner with the Scrum Master and Product Owner on delivery and sprint scope
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tooling within the team
- Resolve technical impediments and coordinate cross-team integration points

Non-Technical Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be willing to work a HYRBID Schedule (3-4 Days) in Reston, VA & client locations in the Washington D.C. area as required.
- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including a technical leadership role
- Strong hands-on development experience with modern cloud-native stacks
- Experience with AWS services and CI/CD delivery
- Strong mentoring and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certification
- Federal IT delivery experience
- Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling
Salary Description
$175,000-$195,000 (based on pertinent experience)
