Database Analysis - Advisor II

TITLE: Database Analysis - Advisor II

EMPLOYER: Fiserv Solutions, LLC

LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. subject to authorization from management)

DUTIES: Design, develop, and maintain StreamSets Control Hub pipelines to ingest and process data from multiple upstream systems into Snowflake, ensuring scalable and consistent data movement across environments. Build metadata-driven pipelines for Raw JSON ingestion and develop Python utilities to parse and flatten nested structures. Analyze source file layouts to define transformation logic and create source-to-target mappings with data lineage and business rules. Design and implement Snowflake objects and orchestrate automated DAGs using Task Graphs in alignment with enterprise data architecture standards. Manage dbt models, tests, incrementals, and snapshots using Snowflake-native deployment patterns. Classify PCI data and apply Voltage encryption or tokenization using Groovy scripts while enforcing naming conventions and data types. Monitor, validate, and optimize pipelines for performance and scalability, including deployment, versioning, and rollback within enterprise release management practices. Build Streamlit-based monitoring and reporting applications and leverage Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Agile ceremonies to meet delivery timelines and data quality objectives. Ensure compliance with enterprise CI/CD standards, SonarQube quality gates, and audit requirements. Support CAB-driven Harness deployments. Maintain documentation for audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and client deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 4 years in any job title involving database engineering experience. Prior experience must include 4 years in the following: Building and optimizing StreamSets pipelines for large-scale data ingestion; Working in Snowflake, including tables, views, streams, tasks, and Task Graph orchestration; Working with SQL and data transformation, including source-to-target mappings, lineage, and business rules; Working in Python and scripting; Working with CI/CD, version control, and release management; and Maintaining JIRA stories, working in sprint-based teams, and presenting technical demonstrations.
