Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles.
• 3-5 years of SQL experience required.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies like S3 and EMR preferred.
• 1+ years experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 1+ years of experience with dbt preferred.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages preferred.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT methodologies and analytical modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Create clean, tested, reusable datasets for analysis from complex data systems.
• Contribute to data transformation standards and ensure compliance with format and attribute requirements.
• Enhance data profiling methodologies to maintain data quality standards.
• Implement engineering best practices for CI/CD, unit testing, and performance optimization.
• Coordinate with the Data Architecture team to ensure data model consistency and quality.
• Utilize existing data infrastructure to manage data requests and perform data cleansing tasks.
• Analyze data to identify anomalies, trends, and correlations.
• Troubleshoot issues and devise solutions to resolve data-related challenges.
