Data Engineer
Veryable is seeking an entry-level Data Engineer to join our Data team. This hands-on role is for an individual who enjoys building reliable systems, maintaining the data pipelines and platform our analytics and machine learning teams rely on. It is an early-career role with room to grow alongside a growing data organization.
Please note that Veryable will not be able to sponsor U.S. work authorization for this position. All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
What you'll do
• Build and maintain data pipelines that move data from source systems into Snowflake
• Support the data platform, including orchestration, automated testing, and CI/CD for data workflows
• Partner with our data scientists to build and operate machine learning pipelines, from feature preparation to model deployment
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability and performance
• Work with analysts and business teams to make sure data is accurate, documented, and easy to use
• Write clean, tested, version-controlled code
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT concepts, and relational data modeling
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
• Able to work in-office at our headquarters in Downtown Dallas
Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ year of experience in data engineering or a related role, including internships
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse
• Exposure to CI/CD tools, workflow orchestration, or integration platforms
• Exposure to machine learning workflows or MLOps
Compensation
$85,000 - $105,000 base salary, depending on experience
