Data Center Water Treatment Field Engineer-Dallas, Texas

A Water Treatment Field Engineer will be based in Dallas, Texas, and responsible for supporting data centers primarily in the central, TX, area. The Field Engineer will solve customer water treatment concerns, support field startup and operational activities, commission new assets, perform water treatment lab work, and troubleshoot water treatment and control equipment.

As a Field Engineer, you will receive an industry competitive salary, expenses, and benefits. In addition, ample technical support is provided along with continuous training. Compensation is based upon experience and the ability to succeed. $100,000 to $120,000 first year base for a qualified candidate. Plus a year end bonus!

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Solve Data Center water problems focused on water use, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
  2. Support field startup, commissioning, deployment, and operational activities for Data Center liquid cooling systems.
  3. Perform detailed water testing & analyses at a data center.
  4. Help deliver on customer KPIs and promote Garratt-Callahan solutions including proprietary chemical blends, equipment, & monitoring technology.
  5. Commission newly installed assets and control equipment.
  6. Keep our existing customers happy and safe.

Requirements:

You must have a 4 year technical degree in the sciences to qualify for this position, such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Paper Science, or Water Resources.

Relevant field experience involving mechanical systems, HVAC, industrial water treatment, commissioning, data centers, mission-critical infrastructure, liquid cooling, construction, or related technical applications may be considered in combination with education and demonstrated technical capability.

You must have the ability to travel 50-75% of the time primarily in Texas.

A successful applicant must have experience or interest in learning advanced water treatment technologies. A successful applicant must be detail-oriented, adhere to safety protocols, and be able to lift 50 pounds wearing PPE in all weather conditions.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with data center liquid cooling systems, CDUs, water systems, mechanical systems, or mission-critical infrastructure
• Knowledge and proficiency with water/coolant sampling, field testing, water chemistry, chemical treatment, and system cleanliness
• Experience supporting commissioning, startup, system walkthroughs, inspections, readiness reviews, or turnover activities
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple field conditions collectively
• Ability to communicate technical observations objectively and professionally with all stakeholders
• Demonstrated technical curiosity, ownership, integrity, accountability, and willingness to continually learn as liquid cooling technologies evolve
