The Role

Capco is looking for an experienced Data Architect with deep expertise across data flows, data integration, data sources, and enterprise data architecture. You'll work with clients to understand how data moves across complex technology landscapes and design robust, scalable architectures that connect systems, platforms, and data sources effectively.

This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who understands data end to end - from source and ingestion through integration, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption. You'll collaborate with technology, data, business, and engineering teams to turn complex requirements into practical data architectures that support both immediate delivery and long-term strategic goals.

What You'll Do
  • Design end-to-end data architectures covering data sources, flows, integration patterns, storage, transformation, and consumption.
  • Map and assess complex data landscapes, identifying dependencies, integration points, data movement, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Define scalable data integration approaches across platforms, applications, APIs, databases, cloud services, and third-party data sources.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, business, and data teams to translate requirements into clear and practical architecture designs.
  • Provide architectural guidance throughout delivery, ensuring solutions remain aligned with data standards, governance, security, quality, and broader technology strategy.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong experience as a Data Architect or in a senior data architecture role within complex enterprise environments.
  • Deep understanding of data flows, data integration, data modelling, data sources, data platforms, and the full data lifecycle.
  • Experience designing architectures that bring together multiple systems, applications, databases, APIs, and internal and external data sources.
  • Strong understanding of modern data architecture principles, including cloud-based data platforms, data governance, data quality, security, and integration patterns.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly and work effectively with technical specialists, business stakeholders, and senior client teams.

Bonus Points For
  • Experience delivering data architecture within financial services, banking, capital markets, insurance, or other regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of modern cloud data platforms, data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses, streaming technologies, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with data lineage, metadata management, master data management, and enterprise data governance.
  • Experience supporting large-scale data modernization, migration, integration, or transformation programmes.

Benefits
  • Comprehensive Benefits Coverage - 100% company-paid health, life, and disability insurance effective from Day 1 of employment
  • Retirement Savings Program - Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with the option of receiving a matching employer contribution
  • Virtual Health Care - Company-paid program available to all employees and their dependents/partners
  • Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) - Company-paid support services for employees and their dependents/partners
  • Parental Leave Top-Up - Enhanced parental leave benefits available from Day 1 of employment
  • New Parent Gift - A company-sponsored gift to celebrate the arrival of a new child
  • Wellness Support - Fitness reimbursement benefit to promote health and well-being
  • Business Coach from Day 1 - Personalized one-on-one coaching to support career growth, accelerate development, and help achieve your professional goals at Capco.
