Responsibilities
• Represent clients facing criminal charges in New Jersey.
• Negotiate with prosecutors to secure the best possible outcomes.
• Develop tailored case strategies that address each client's unique circumstances.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analyze statutes to build strong defenses.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, settlements, and other legal documents.
• Manage a varied caseload with efficiency, ensuring deadlines are met and client communication remains a top priority.
Qualifications
• Must have a JD degree and hold an active NJ law license in good standing.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience in criminal defense.
• Strong skills in research, writing, and negotiation are essential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member.
• Demonstrate a client-first approach with high emotional intelligence.
• Consideration is given to small firm owners looking to focus solely on practicing law.
