The Opportunity:
Cosentini Associates, a Tetra Tech company, is adding an Electrical Engineer to our Electrical team based in New York. As part of Tetra Tech's High Performance Buildings Group, Cosentini Associates brings together the expertise of talented engineers, and architects from around the world. We offer high-end, sustainable building consulting and MEP engineering services for blue-chip clients across every building sector. Our services include MEP design, Net Zero Energy, lighting design, commissioning, vertical transportation, low voltage, information technologies, security, audiovisual, code consulting/fire engineering, sustainability consulting, and acoustics. Your Role:
• Performing electrical power design for variety of projects to include but not limited to: buildings and facilities, including hospitals, laboratories, high rise residential, hotel and office, and other commercial and institutional projects.
• Incorporating design changes using AutoCad and/or Revit software
• Performing service load calculations and short circuit studies
• Meeting project schedules and performing work with budgetary constraints
• Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future or current projects
• Reviewing submittals and providing responses to Requests for Information
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
• Mentor and train junior engineers on project team
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in the design of building power systems for high rise residential, hotel, and office buildings, and other commercial, institutional and healthcare facilities.
• Proficient with the use of AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
• PE registration is highly preferred, or EIT with the ability to obtain a P.E.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed

Compensation:
Pay commensurate with experience.
Pay Range: $100-$130k
