Full Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Corporate Security Lead – US Clinics is responsible for leading the corporate security program across the U.S. dialysis clinic and vascular center portfolio. This role ensures the protection of patients, employees, physical assets, and sensitive data through the implementation of comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures.

This leader oversees all aspects of physical security, incident response, and risk management, ensuring a safe, compliant, and resilient environment that supports uninterrupted patient care. The role partners closely with the Corporate Security Center of Excellence (CoE) to align on strategy, standards, and innovation.

This role reports to the Head of US Clinic Real Estate & Corporate Security.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Security Strategy & Program Leadership

  • Implement a comprehensive corporate security strategy for US clinics, aligned with enterprise standards and business needs.
  • Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards tailored to clinical environments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare, privacy, and security regulations and requirements.

Physical Security & Technology Oversight

  • Oversee all physical security measures across the clinic portfolio, including access control systems, video surveillance, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
  • Manage security personnel and third-party security vendors, ensuring effective coverage and performance.
  • Evaluate and implement security technologies to enhance protection, visibility, and operational efficiency.

Incident Response & Crisis Management

  • Lead security incident response efforts across US clinics, including workplace violence, theft, and security breaches.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, law enforcement, and emergency services to ensure timely and effective response.
  • Develop and maintain incident response protocols, escalation procedures, and crisis management plans.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions to mitigate future risks.

Risk Assessment & Threat Mitigation

  • Conduct regular risk assessments across all clinic locations, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor emerging threats and proactively adjust security measures to address evolving risks.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure security considerations are integrated into operations and facility design.

CoE Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Security Center of Excellence (CoE) to align on strategy, standards, and best practices.
  • Support the implementation of enterprise security initiatives, tools, and frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in security programs through data analysis, benchmarking, and innovation.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Manage external security vendors.
  • Partner closely with Real Estate, Construction, Facilities, Clinical Operations, HR, Legal, and IT teams.
  • Serve as the primary security advisor to Care Delivery leadership, ensuring alignment with patient care and operational priorities.
  • Provide executive reporting on security incidents, risk posture, and program effectiveness.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate security, risk management, or related field, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments
  • Deep expertise in physical security systems, incident response, and risk assessment
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to healthcare security and privacy
  • Proven ability to manage security programs across a distributed portfolio
  • Experience working with law enforcement and emergency response organizations
  • Strong leadership and vendor management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, incident-driven situations

The rate of pay for this position will depend on the successful candidate’s work location and qualifications, including relevant education, work experience, skills, and competencies.
