Corporate Accounting ManagerLocation: Houston, TX- Greenway Plaza (In Office Position)
Purpose:The Corporate Accounting Manager serves as the Controller's primary business partner and is responsible for overseeing the Company's accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, compliance activities, and internal controls. This position provides leadership to the accounting team, supports strategic finance initiatives, and serves as the Controller's backup when needed.
Role/Responsibilities:- Assist with monthly close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review assigned journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, lease accounting, and other key accounting activities.
- Assist with preparation and review of financial statements, management reporting, and P&L analysis.
- Support annual audits, tax request, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with treasury activities, including cash forecasting, bank reconciliation, and working capital management.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Partner with cross-function teams to support business objectives and financial reporting accuracy.
- Lead accounting process improvements, ERP optimization initiatives, and NetSuite enhancements.
- Research and document accounting treatment for complex transactions and develop accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Detail-oriented and result-driven.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Ability to work extended hours during month-end close, audit periods, and special projects as needed.
