Core Ops Manager

I Can Succeed as a Core Operations Manager - Accounting Distribution & Pricing Team (ADAPT)

Core Operations provides global middle- and back-office capabilities that support Capital Group’s investment process, client service model, and long-term growth. Our teams enable investment products and client accounts across onboarding, servicing, cash activity, investment data, trade operations, fund accounting, NAV operations, tax, reconciliation, and related capabilities.

As a Core Operations Accounting Distribution & Pricing Team (ADAPT) Manager, you will oversee fund accounting trade flow, expenses, distribution, and net asset value (NAV) generation in both an insourced and outsourced model. You will also help lead through portfolio and market activities, new fund launches, and non-standard events when they impact these capabilities — translating requirements, risks, options, and trade-offs across internal teams and outsourced providers to align on practical solutions.

Please note, this position does require you to work in our Irvine office, Monday-Thursday with the flexibility to work remote on Fridays.

I Am the Person Capital Group Is Looking For:

• Build and lead high-performing teams that develop talent, strengthen trust, and foster accountability, inclusion, and growth. Direct people management for a team of up to 10 associates.
• Lead through change and ambiguity, translating strategy into clear priorities, aligned goals, and measurable outcomes.
• Influence across functions and leadership levels, bringing strategic judgment and organizational savvy to achieve broad results.
• Challenge the status quo and drive innovation by anticipating emerging needs, simplifying complexity, unlocking capacity, and shaping operating models that scale with demand.
• Apply technology, data, and operational expertise to strengthen controls, improve service quality, and increase resilience and scalability.
• Demonstrate self-awareness, courage, curiosity, and a growth mindset by seeking feedback, embracing diverse perspectives, and investing in development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in investment operations, fund accounting, asset management, financial services operations, or a related field.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience, including developing talent and leading teams through change, transformation, or large-scale initiatives.
• Experienced in fund accounting; oversight of an outsourced provider performing fund accounting, public accounting, or a CPA license is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively across functional groups to align on shared outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to stay current on industry trends and best practices, applying those insights to improve service quality and operating effectiveness.
